BRIEF ON THE ASSOCIATION

Kuwait Accountants and Auditors Association was formed in February 1973 with the objective of developing culture and expertise in the field of accounting trough performing studies, preparing researches, providing consultation and exchanging experiences in this field, to enhance the practical application based on advancement of science, professional specialization, upgrade the level of practical performance and widen the practical background of those working in the field of accounting.

This was no doubt a positive step, which was for a long time an ambition for workers in the field, due to its positive results toward achieving and supporting economic development and enhancing the academic aspects of our contemporary state.

The accountant plays a vital role in the field of planning and budgeting, execution and control, which can not be performed in a perfect manner without support of data and availability of figures presented by accounting. Accounting is thus the connection point between among other fields including planning, budgeting, accounting and administrative sciences.

The accountant has his unique role of extracting such data, preparing, classifying and using it. He knows its limits and dimensions, and understands its nature. Therefore, he occupies a distinguished position in all production and service units, and obtains a lot of technical and administrative positions.

For achieving its academic and professional objectives, Kuwait Accountants and Auditors Association aims at being a strong connector between the workers in the field through an academic common language, unified concepts for them to abide by and to facilitate their way toward newly adopted scientific methods in accounting, and cooperation to achieve their objectives, for better performance, and limitation of production waste.
