MEMBERSHIP OF THE ASSOCIATION

1.    MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS:

THE MEMBER SHOULD FULFIL THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

A.   The bachelor degree in commerce (major in accounting and auditing) or equivalent as suggested by the Board Member and the approval of the General Assembly.

B.   Holders of professional and affiliate certificates (accounting and auditing specialization) after the approval of the ordinary general assembly.

C.   Holders of a diploma (in accounting) of the graduates of the college of commercial studies (previously the commercial institute) or equivalent.

D.   To be fully competent, enjoying civil rights, of a good reputation, and not judged in a criminal or moral case, unless otherwise declared innocent.

2.    TYPE OF MEMBERSHIP:

A.   Working Members: Kuwaiti members holding a bachelor degree (major accounting) enjoying their rights and performing their duties pursuant to the provisions of the Associations Articles of Association. They shall enjoy the right of attending, nominating and voting in the meetings of the General Assembly.

B.   Associate Members: Non-Kuwaiti members holding the bachelor degree, holders of professional and associate certificates, provided they do not enjoy the right of voting or nominating for the Board Membership.

C.   Honorary Members: Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti persons who performed great services for the professions can be accepted as honorary members, provided they do not enjoy the right of voting or nominating for the Board membership.
